Marketcetera Team

Marketcetera was founded by two Stanford computer science graduates to build fast and flexible trading systems on modern open source technology.

The founders of Marketcetera have teamed up with veteran traders from Susquehanna, open source mavens from the Mozilla Corporation, Shasta Ventures and Jack Selby of Clarium Capital to create this new approach to trading systems.

Founders

Graham Miller, CEO

Mr. Miller has over 10 years of experience in the finance and software industries, most recently serving as the director of electronic trading strategies at a hedge fund in New York. Prior to that Mr. Miller worked for Jane Street Capital, making markets in equity options on the floor of the American Stock Exchange, and directing electronic trading efforts. During his tenure on Wall Street, Mr. Miller oversaw the development of several high-throughput black box trading systems for equities, options, ETFs and futures. Before joining Jane Street Capital, Mr. Miller assisted in the development of several products and companies at Reactivity, a software incubator turned network security company, which was acquired by Cisco in 2007.

Mr. Miller holds bachelors and masters degrees in computer science from Stanford University, with a concentration in artificial intelligence.

Toli Kuznets, CTO

Mr. Kuznets brings extensive software development, client implementation and technical consulting expertise, both in startup environments and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Marketcetera he implemented automated trading systems at a hedge fund in New York. Prior to that, he was the first engineer at CenterRun. There Mr. Kuznets was a developer of server software starting with alpha prototypes and working through multiple releases of the product suite. When CenterRun was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2003, Mr. Kuznets transitioned to professional services and later into product management roles. The CenterRun product now forms the basis of Sun's N1 datacenter automation and provisioning product suite.

Mr. Kuznets holds a masters and bachelors in computer science from Stanford University, with a concentration in human-computer interaction.

Roy Agostino, CMO

Mr. Agostino is a seasoned high technology executive with 20 years of marketing experience, most recently leading the marketing function at Packeteer, Inc. Prior to that Mr. Agostino has run the marketing function at several software firms and served for 10 years in international marketing roles at NIKE, Inc.

Mr. Agostino is an arts undergraduate at University of British Columbia

Yoram Talmor, VP of Engineering

Mr. Talmor has more than 12 years of experience in management and software development, with expertise in high performance, large scale distributed systems, both at startup companies and large enterprises. Prior to Marketcetera, he worked as director of engineering at Yahoo!'s Search Marketing Group. Previously Talmor held various positions at Yahoo!, Inktomi, Seerun and IBM, where he worked as a research associate in the distributed systems group.

Mr. Talmor holds a masters and bachelors in computer science from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel, with a concentration in distributed shared memory systems.

Directors

Ravi Mohan, Shasta Ventures

Mr. Mohan has focused his entire career on the software business. Prior to co-founding Shasta Ventures, Ravi was a general partner at Battery Ventures where he led eight investments and served on the boards of 12 software and technology-enabled service companies. Prior to joining Battery Ventures, Ravi built transaction-processing systems at Accenture, sold and implemented packaged software applications for Hyperion Software Corporation, and ran MIC, a software development firm based in India focused on business intelligence solutions to multinational corporations. Ravi also spent time at McKinsey & Company working with consumer packaged goods companies. Ravi is active in entrepreneurial circles and helped found the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA) to leverage entrepreneurial activities between India and America. In addition, he is an active Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and regularly volunteers his time helping put together TiE events. He also serves on the Corporate Advisory Board for the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Mr. Mohan earned a bachelors degree in Operations Research and Engineering at Cornell University and an M.B.A. at Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

Jack Selby

Mr. Selby is managing director and co-founder of Clarium Capital, a $5B global macro hedge fund based in San Francisco. He was previously a senior vice president at PayPal, Inc., where he held of variety of roles, including management of the company's international operations. Mr. Selby's prior experience also includes a position at GFTA Analytics GmbH, a Dusseldorf-based financial consulting company which provides foreign exchange solutions to financial institutions, multi-national corporations, governments, and central banks.

Mr. Selby received a BA in economics from Hamilton College.
